Why we built it

Existing Irish property portals charge agents to advertise and then hide the data buyers most need — the previous sale price, the days on market, the times a listing has been re-uploaded. We thought that was backwards.

Every home on PropertySearch.ie shows its complete Property Price Register history, every price change since first listed, and the comparable sales nearby. The same data the professionals use, in plain view, for free.

Free, forever

Listings are free for estate agents, developers, landlords and private sellers. Always. We make money from optional buyer services — mortgage introductions, premium area reports and conveyancing referrals — never from the listings themselves.

Open data

We use public data from the Property Services Regulatory Authority's Property Price Register, the SEAI BER register, OPW flood maps, ComReg broadband data, the Department of Education school directory and OpenStreetMap. Where we add to that data we credit our sources.

Who runs it

PropertySearch.ie is an independent Irish company. We're not owned by an estate agency chain, a newspaper group or a property fund.
